FOUNDERS LETTER

Greetings,

I am Alice R. Madry, the wife of the late Pastor James T. Madry, Jr. and the founder of the James T. Madry, Jr. foundation.

The foundation has been put into place to do what James liked best, “Empowering people, one mind at a time.  James was a lover and encourager to all he came in contact with.  He could always be found lending a helping hand.”  Education and Music was a true passion of James.  Being a mentor to so many youth was his number one goal in life.  Having such a great impact in the city to so many was evident.

The foundation seeks to be a beacon of change in our community, by providing educational training, workshops, and scholarship opportunities to the underserved demographics.

James and I both were proud of the fact that we grew up in the 64130 and the 64128 zip code.  Although the area is considered the urban core community, we were not your typical statistic.  Coming from a two parent home, we were encouraged to strive for greatness, and to always put our best foot forward.  Although a lot of our friends weren’t fortunate enough to have the same, they became our extended family, and received the same encouragement.

It is my desire to continue with the love that James and I showed to all we came in contact with, to implement workshops, and conferences to help the next generation to become phenomenal Men and Women within their communities.  Also, to remind all that giving back is what it’s all about!

Thank you for taking the time to visit our site.  Please help us continue James’ legacy in your giving financially, your time, and your support.

Blessings,

Mrs. Alice R. Madry
